“Dhaa…!” Ravi wiped her tears caressing her face…! She shivered….! He realized.  He removed his jacket and wrapped her shoulders…! 

“Huh…!” A trapped breath left Dhatri chocking her..! Jim thumped lightly on her back.  She broke apart from both of them…

“Dhatri…!” She saw Vinit and behind, her Rini Didi..!” 

“Didi…!” Rini ran forward to hold her.  Dhatri was in her arms…! Her Dhaa…! A part of her soul…! 

“We got to take her out…!” Vinit took charge and Ravi nodded. 

“Take her to Razzy….~” Vinit said and moved away.

“Where are you going?” Ravi asked in shock.  Vinit just waved his hand picking up something in the darkness.  The atmosphere filled with warning sirens… the sprinklers started, the smoke filled the air, the mayhem parted them away.  Vinit vanished and Dharini took charge…

“Dhatri, āmāra Baby…!” Indroneel pulled her towards him, crying out loudly. Ravi dragged her towards the parking lot… Jim had already vanished to get the vehicle.

“Hey… Where is Maj. Vinit?” asked Earl running after Dharini.  She didn’t know…! She had a major task of taking Dhatri out of the commotion and away from the hospital.  

 “Dhaa…. You are safe…!” Dharini put her arm around Dhatri’s shoulder.  Ravi had held her tightly.  Indroneel and Earl followed in another car.

“Give her a shower…!” Razzy said guiding Dharini to the bathroom.  Dhatri had a shower.  The calls and messages relayed to the concerned persons.  

“I am taking her to my place..!” he said, determined.  Rini waited for Vinit…! She wanted to take Dhatri to India as soon as possible.  Her phone rang…! “Ok..!” she agreed after listening for a long time.  

“Ravi… Vinit on line..!” she handed over the phone to Ravi.  Jim and Ravi went aside to talk to Vinit.  

“Yeah… We are going home, Dhatri!” Ravi came in and squeezed Dhatri’s shoulders…!

“What?” Rini blurted..! “Yeah.. we are going to San Francisco..!” he said excitedly.  Dhatri gaped and looked at Rini for her reaction.  

“Bhen… ye pi lo..!” Razzy brought in soup bowl.  Dhatri turned her face.  She had lost her apatite.  Her body ached unbearably…! She whimpered and looked at Dharini.  Dharini had a task to convince Dhatri to at least have soup…! Dhatri somehow gulped it half and refused …!

“Rini Didi… I want to go home..!” she said anguished…! Rini felt a know in her stomach..! She didn’t know what was in store for her little sister.  Ravi looked away swallowing hard, reflecting her anguish.  Jim came and hugged Dhatri … “Dhatri… Oh Dear…!” Dhatri wriggled pushing him weakly. ! 

Ravi had a bitter taste in his mouth… “People are same everywhere… Selfish, insensitive..! Only the color of the skin is different…!” he thought bitterly looking at Dhatri’s condition..! He was ashamed of being an American… Proclaiming to be an American..!

“There are some good people everywhere…. !” Rini wrapped her arms around Dhatri.  Dhatri sobbed and Ravi went out of the room in anguish…!

“Ravi… Switch on the TV..CNN..!” Razzy called over the phone and Ravi did the needful.  Dr. Scott Humphrey was all over the news channels…! A news story on Unethical Practices by hospitals and medicine companies was relayed all over…! 

“Look… he helped me, escape..!” Dhatri for the first time spoke excitedly after being rescued… umm… not exactly rescued but escaped…! 

They all glued to Ravi’s big screen…! Jorden and D’amama were talking to camera animatedly… They both had become celebraties overnight… whistleblowers…. Busting the big racket, scam of malpractices under the name of free medical help and charity, flounting the secret files and yelling in the name of the Doctor, who cheated them…! 

Vinit was resting occupying the sofa…! He winked at Rini.  !

“Puff… Boom… Blast..!” he murmured and turned to continue his sleep.  

“Vinit, wake up…! How did you do it? And why didn’t you tell me?” Rini was furious…!

Vinit opened his eyes and said in a sleepy voice.. “I did my share…!”

“What?!!” Ravi exclaimed.  Vinit turned to his side and closed his eyes to continue his sweet sleep.

He had picked up the leather book and a few papers Dhatri had dropped while running towards her Rini Didi.  That was enough material to bust the scam…! He then went back to Aidy to find out more…! They traced back to Jorden whose eyes flashed with the possibility of being on the TV and getting the status of celebrity overnight…! They set the stage and all the local and Bit TV Channels received the copies of the handwritten test reports of the patients… umm.. not exactly patients… but the Lab Rats…! 

The huge scam of unethical practices in clinical tests and the nexus between the Doctors and Pharmaceutical companies and bio medical companies was brought to light with the arrest of Dr. Scott Humphrey…!! And Dr. Bridge spat everything talking like a parrot…! 

“Awaaa… Dhatri groaned in pain and Rini touched her…! “Dhaa… are you alright?” she asked concerned.  Dhatri nodded unconvincingly…! 

“Let her take rest…!” Ravi said worriedly.  “No… No… please.. don’t leave me alone..!” Dhatri wailed clutching Rini’s arm…! Rini patted on her back and Dhatri winced in pain again…!

“What did they do to you, Dhaa?” Rini asked for the first time… Dhatri looked down shuddering…! 

“She needs a thorough medical check up…!” Jim said practically and Dhatri screamed in fright.

“No.. please… no doctor…Please…!” Rini held her tightly.  Vinit got up suddenly…!

“Dhaa… come here!” he said thumping on the sofa and Dhaa settled in his protective arms…!

“She was in the medical waste tunnel for so long… stuck between filth and infectious material…!” Jim said gravely and Ravi remembered the  stuck needles he plucked from her thighs and knees…! He winced with the thought.  

“You all take rest… I will arrange for a Doctor..!” Sayajirao said finally and they all nodded.  Dhatri was heading towards the unknown path….!
